We are grateful for your time and willingness to share your experience. This survey is part of a research study led by The Asia Foundation and conducted by Lao Social Research, exploring the skills, expertise, and engagement potential of the Lao diaspora in France, Canada, and Australia.
The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete, depending on your background and experience. Questions cover your demographic profile, professional skills, business experience, and interest in sharing your expertise with Lao small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs. You may skip any question you are not comfortable answering.
All responses are strictly confidential. Your data will be stored securely and used only for research and programme planning purposes by the LBF and its implementing partners. Your identity will not be shared with any third party. Aggregated, anonymised findings may be published in project reports. You may withdraw at any time without consequence.
If you have questions about this study, please contact: simon.welfonder@laosocialresearch.com
Thank you so much for taking the time to complete this survey. Your responses will make a real difference to our research on the skills and potential contributions of the Lao diaspora community in France, Canada, and Australia.
The data you have provided will help shape policies and programmes that support meaningful engagement between diaspora communities and Lao development efforts.
If you know others in the Lao diaspora who might be interested in participating, please share the survey link with them. Every additional voice strengthens our research.
We may follow up with some respondents to explore their experiences in more depth. If you are happy to be contacted for a follow-up conversation, please email us at simon.welfonder@laosocialresearch.com.
